What is Agoracart
AgoraCart is a powerful free and open source online shopping cart & e-commerce system that offers a very wide range of "out-of-the-box" features.

AgoraCart comes with flexibility in full design controls through Cascading Style Sheets, template systems, customizable layouts, custom individual product category layouts and templates, customization of nearly all cart features for the code hobbyist, modular "drop in and go" code as well as AgoraScript, our own scripting language inside parsed HTML pages, that experienced programmers can appreciate.

Minimum Requirements to Install AgoraCart 5.2.x
1. Unix, FreeBSD, OpenBSD or a Linux based hosting account (or server). *Downtown Host runs on Linux servers.
2. Perl 5.8.0 or higher. *Downtown Host offers Perl 5.8.7.
3. These Perl Modules must be installed on your server or webhosting account: LWP::Simple, File::Copy. *Downtown Host offers free Perl Modules installation.
4. Recommended Perl Modules - Only needed if using Real-time Payment Processing Gateways or Shipping Rating Services: Net::SSLeay *Downtown Host offers free Perl Modules installation.
5. FTP or online file manager access with the ability to set permissions on files. *Which host doesn't offer it?
6. Run scripts under your hosting user ID, most servers offer this now, OR the ability to install wrappers (via SSH2/Shell or by your server admin at your request).
*Downtown Host Linux servers users have the ability to add and run their own CGI scripts.
